Cold Noodles Club Continues at Eight Row Flint for a Houston Hospitality Fundraiser

Cold noodles are doing double duty in the Heights this September. Eight Row Flint’s original location is partnering with I’ll Have What She’s Having for a monthlong Tuesday-night fundraiser that supports preventive healthcare services for people working in Houston’s hospitality industry.

The September Cold Noodles Club runs every Tuesday from 6 p.m. until the featured dish sells out. Each week, a Houston chef serves a cold noodle dish, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit’s healthcare work.

Two guest chefs remain on the September lineup

After earlier September events, the remaining announced dates are September 22 with chef Niki Vongthong, formerly of Hidden Omakase, and September 29 with Suu Khin of Burmalicious by Suu.

The guest-chef format keeps the menu changing from week to week, so diners are not simply returning for the same bowl. It also gives participating chefs room to interpret “cold noodles” through their own cooking style.

Food supporting Houston hospitality workers

I’ll Have What She’s Having is a Houston nonprofit focused on health and wellbeing in the hospitality community. Restaurant and bar workers often face inconsistent access to preventive care, making fundraisers like this especially relevant to the people who keep the local dining scene running.
