Perry’s Is Bringing Back Its 79-Cent Pork Chop Deal With a New Prime Rib Sandwich
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is reviving its 79-cent Flashback Friday promotion at six Houston-area restaurants and adding a caramelized prime rib steak sandwich to the deal.

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is bringing back one of Houston’s most eye-catching restaurant promotions: a 79-cent lunch tied to the company’s 1979 roots. This time, the famous pork chop will share the spotlight with a new caramelized prime rib steak sandwich.
The Flashback Friday promotion will be offered at six Houston-area Perry’s locations on a surprise date that the company plans to reveal on social media.
Two lunches, 200 vouchers at each restaurant
When the promotion date arrives, doors will open at 10:30 a.m. and the first 200 eligible guests in line at each participating restaurant will receive a voucher card.
Half of the cards will be for Perry’s Famous Pork Chop Friday Lunch with whipped potatoes, applesauce and bread. The other half will be for the new Caramelized Prime Rib Steak Sandwich served with french fries and horseradish cream.
The date is intentionally a mystery
The biggest catch is that Perry’s has not announced which Friday will be the Flashback Friday. The company plans to reveal the date through its social channels, turning the promotion into a watch-and-react event rather than a deal diners can schedule weeks in advance.
The promotion is dine-in only, limited to guests 21 and older and available while supplies last. With only 200 vouchers per restaurant, arriving early will matter once the date becomes public.
Houston roots are the reason for the price
The 79-cent price is a reference to 1979, when Perry’s began as a small Houston-area butcher shop before growing into the steakhouse group it is today.
Participating Houston-area locations include restaurants in Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, Friendswood and The Woodlands. Anyone hoping to catch the deal should watch Perry’s current social channels for the date announcement rather than relying on an old promotion post.
