Chama Gaúcha Opens Its Second Houston-Area Brazilian Steakhouse in Katy
Chama Gaúcha has opened in Katy at 24205 Bella Katy Drive, bringing its tableside churrasco service, expansive salad bar and private dining to west Houston suburbs.

Katy diners no longer have to drive to the Galleria area for Chama Gaúcha. The Brazilian steakhouse has opened its second Greater Houston location at 24205 Bella Katy Drive after soft-opening September 9.
The new restaurant brings the brand’s churrasco format to one of the region’s fastest-growing dining markets, with tableside carving of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage along with the restaurant’s familiar salad bar and side dishes.
The full churrasco experience comes west
Chama Gaúcha’s service centers on servers bringing open-flame grilled meats directly to the table and carving portions for guests throughout the meal. The restaurant also offers sides such as caramelized bananas, garlic mashed potatoes, fried polenta and Brazilian cheese bread.
The salad bar goes well beyond a simple bowl of greens. Community Impact reports more than 30 items, including cheeses and charcuterie, giving diners another substantial part of the meal before the meat service even starts.
Katy gets five private dining rooms
The new location includes five private dining rooms designed for groups ranging from about 20 to 150 people. That gives the restaurant a built-in role for business dinners, birthdays, family celebrations and other group events in the Katy area.
General manager Guilherme Da Silva said the company has welcomed Katy-area diners at its Westheimer location for years and wanted the new restaurant to offer the same experience closer to home.
A second Houston-area location after 15 years
Chama Gaúcha’s Galleria-area restaurant opened in 2011, so the Katy expansion comes after a long local run rather than a rapid rollout.
That makes this opening especially relevant for west Houston and Katy diners who already know the brand. The new location is not introducing Chama Gaúcha to Houston; it is bringing an established Houston-area steakhouse farther west.
